What did you do for your Fox today?

:fuss: It was gonna be a surprise! :D gonna drop the seats off tonight, might be a week or two but ill post pics when they are in. not really worried about how long it takes, too hot to drive it now anyway and i have some other things to do while im waiting.

I was too hot and tired to post last night, so this is "what I did to my Fox yesterday".

I removed the Enkeis 92s with Hankook Ventus lls from the 90 LX 5.0 convertible (to sell them) and replaced them with a set of AR 534 16" (aluminum 5-star w/lug covering center cap) wheels mounted with Uniroyal RTT-1 (225/50-16) that were on my 86 GT convertible when it was featured in MM&FF in the 11/95 issue. They had been in cold storage for 5 years and only have 10k miles on them. They look good, have that 90's look and are easier to clean than the black mesh Enkeis (I drive this car on 4 miles of gravel road every time I take it to the cabin).

I also removed the lower, thinner tape pinstripe on the 89 5.0 LX coupe. It was incorrect for the year (the original stripe was paint and a single pinstripe). The tape stripe had been on the car since it was repainted in 97, so I was nervous that it would peel the paint under it, or leave a shadow, or adhesive mess. It came off easy, and the twin adhesive/dirt lines left behind came off with some wax and elbow grease. You would never no it was there.:D

We bought our first house and I now have my very own garage. I used a clay bar on the whole car and then waxed it. Then I installed a mint OEM Ford radio/tape deck, which looks awesome.

I put a stock head unit in mine and wont go back to that ugly cd player it had in it. scored a used nano from my boss and bought a tape adapter so i can play the nano in the car.

Drove a total of 90 miles to and from an all Ford car show (94 degrees, and 5 hours standing, sitting or walking on tar makes for a long day). When I got home I took some pictures of the new quarter windows installed and single pinstripe that is left after pulling off the lower/thinner one.

man, i need to clean the lens on my camera, took it from the AC in the house and out to the hot muggy garage and it hazed over real bad, now its got crap on it.

I took the Sport out for a spirited drive to test the new 70mm polished throttle body and spacer,3 row aluminum radiator and Taurus fan I installed (and 180 degree thermostat) and cranked the A/C to see how she reacted. GREAT !!! It was 105 degrees, and the gauge never moved past the halfway mark. Sweet !!!

I was so happy I washed and waxed the car, then pulled the door panels and installed Dynomat throughout the inner door structure, outer skin, back of the panels, then re-installed the panels and shut the doors. SOLID !!! That's it for the day.

Next on the list, differential girdle, new mufflers, and we'll see what happens after that.

I was having a hard start when the motor was warm, found resistance in the main starter cable. decided to redo all the cables, and clean up some of the other wires also.

also changed the shifter knob to the mach one, wanted a change so i'll run this for awhile. feels good with my mgw.

I took my steeda tri-ax out, and traded it for an MGW shifter and just installed it!

I've also been rocking out to the OEM 1993 CD player. Not a bad little radio for OEM. Looks much better than the crappy aftermarket player i had
