Has anyone had success is Ford covering the hood corrosion issue in their Mustang?

Hello all!

I am new to the site. I am the owner of a 2006 Mustang CVT. I love my car and have worked hard to keep her in good shape.

I understand from my dealer this has been an issue for a long time now but Ford has not dealt with it. I called Ford Corporate who blew me off within minutes of trying to file a complaint.

The dealer wants $700 to fix it!

I noticed several others from this forum had simplar issues. I wonder if any were resolved.

I did that very thing a few hours back. Let's see how she responds... Such am amazing car! I would hate to have to drive anything else...
