whatever happened to the dominion 4 valve heads for 5.0Ls? ?

I really doubt they will ever get to any non modern ford motor. I think a lot of the reasoning behind the variable valves is for emissions and such. Not so much as a power gain. 4 valve would be sweet but for the cost involved, you can get a supercharger and accomplish the same thing for much cheaper.

Anyone else find this funny? Although its Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) its essentially the same thing no? :shrug:

although I am not sure if you can still get any sbf heads at this point. I just seen a few mo ago they had some newer chevy sets for sale on ebay again. When all these dominion heads came out originaly (ford/chevy) they were being sold for around $3500+. It seemed as the heads got more popular the prices almost doubled (maybe to scare off demand/interest?). What I was told is at the start two/2 guys/partners started this deal in a small (one man band) kind of shop, a chevy guy (Russ) and ford guy (Hal) = Dominon. There was some kind of problem/falling out between the two and ford guy Hal left. As Russ is the chevy guy he continued/concentrated on making many many more chevy castings and not many ford versions because he's into chevs. I understand its still basicly a one man band shop as of today. The chev versions are easyer for him to supply as they are now a "cast" head. The ford versions are still made from Billet block so they are a bunch more work. As I understand it Hal made/cut/sold 12-24 sets of various types of W/B/Y/S intake port sbf billet heads before he left, back then I understand even ford svo bought a half doz+ sets. So this might be why there are no sbf heads right now. I am going to try and finish up 2 sets of 4V Cannonball 302/351 (BOSS type) intake port versions for some aftermarket cleveland blocks I got on order now. I also just started to shop around for info on this new 427w boss short block out from ford I thought for one of the sets. Trying to find out if I can get it with flat top pistons.

This vid might interest some of you and show how long 4V (pushrod) stuff has been around. The 4V bike (pushrod) stuff has even been around alot longer. Economics/costs/politics and personal interests have been one of the reasons 4V stuff was not mass produced in north america before and is finaly now catching on here... 2 valve stuff = cheaper/easyer to make... maybe the higher ups in the past thought 2V stuff, good enough?... for americans?... lol. Guys like Mr Feuling knew better.

dominion arao 32 valve sbf heads

Hi, just thought I would post an update here also. I gave up waiting for the past 3-1/2 years for theses new cleveland blocks to come out for these heads and asked for my deposits back. I now went and bought a complete 428MAXX short block from FPS for these heads now instead. I got FPS help with this project as I found out FPS have already built some of these 32V sbf valve headed engines. So it made it easy to get the custom 4 valve pistons and 4 valve cam cut by FPS. So I am now building a CLEVOR.

I also have learned about all the bs that this billetracing guy did spaming on a bunch of auto forums all over the net inc this one with the same post about being ripped off by arao that turned out to be Bull Crap. I have been trying to contact this guy since mid 2009 with NO luck but anyway there was something not right with this guy with the way he was going about things.

Yes its mine, I just got the short block assembly recently after I gave up waiting on the new cleveland blocks that I wanted to use for these heads, I am still waiting for other parts for it. I have 2 sets and am modding both to boss intake ports for big ci. trying to have it finished buy fall.

For those that maybe interested here is a few more detailed pics of my other set of 32V heads that have a bigger chamber for a blower/turbo app, I am going to also finish converting these to boss intake ports so I can use any of the 4V cleveland intakes.
