Water Pump Problem

Hi guys, I'm having a water pump problem. I can't fully tell if I'm overheating because the gauge stopped working today as well, which is posted in another thread. When I came home from the gym today, I saw steam coming from my hood. Looking at the engine, I noticed a lot of steam coming from the water pump area. I also noticed a loud gurgling type sound when the motor is off and the steaem is coming out. It does not make this noise when the engine is on. Also, there are no bearing squeal sounds coming from the pump when it is running. Furthermore, the car seems to take a long time for the cooling system to kick in and when it does the pressure on the upper radiator hose seems weak when compared to my 2010 Accord. I'm not sure if there's simply a difference in the pressure of the cooling systems of the two cars or if there's a problem with this car. The car was fully warmed up as I drove it for about 15 minutes just to be sure.

I checked it after I posted and it was low. Dumb of me should've been the first thing to check. I havn't run the car yet with the new coolant level. I'm guessing this is why the pressure in the upper hose wasn't as strong as my other car. Wouldn't it only steam out if it was overfilled though?

If it's coming from the water pump area you may need a new pump. But first check all the hoses from the thermostat housing.
It's gurgling because the steam coming out is water vapor, the gurgling sound is air going into the system to replace the water.
A ford racing waterpump is only like $50.
Change the thermostat to a mr gaskets 180 while you got it apart.

If you are unsure where the water is really coming from, goto autozone, rent a pressure tester, pump up the system with the car off, and the leak will reveal itself.

The sensor is only 8 bucks at the parts store...just did mine 20 minutes ago...LOL
Overfill? You mean in the overflow jug?Might need to replace your radiator cap too while your at it if its overflowing that bad. . .
