some kind of hand-held vacuum cleaner from the 70's. I was browsing superchargers on ebay and came across some 5.0 Kenne bell's and thats the first thing that popped in my head! Especially with the bypass attached... :rlaugh:

totally agree. I don't get why they can't come up with a more modern lower intake manifold (instead of using the stock/GT 40 lower) that looks like the 4.6 kenne bell set up. the vacuum cleaner imitation/off to the side set up looks super fugly.

that being said, i still want one and don't know of another roots/tvs/eaton-esque supercharger for the 5.0 that fits that description. it would be sweet if TorkTeck came out with a 5.0 version of their blower kit - I really like how that package looks and offers modest boost for starters.

there's a guy on corral that fabs up and sells an adapter kit to mount an 03/04 Cobra eaton onto our cars. Looks like a descent kit but you have to run a HUGE cowl hood to clear it. He's also working on a side mount version to fit it under the stock hood.

Don't know if you guys have read the thread with the KB blower in which this guy fabbed an intercooler. The thread is like 10+ pages but it goes from the stock motor with regular bolted on KB, he splits the stock block, puts a Fordstroker 363 w/ KB and the torque is 550Ft lbs at like 2200RPM.

They may look weird but the TQ is pretty insane down low. I don't like the way KB looks on a 94-95 with that long shaft. I also don't like the fact that KB doesn't care about the pushrod market very much (mostly modular now) anymore plus they are not very customer friendly from that thread I posted above. I'm a Vortech fan.

Vortech fan here as well. I loved every minute of owning one and I will probably get one again some day.

I'm probably going to try one of the On3 turbo setups this time around though. Even though the Vortech blowers are older than dirt, they're still asking too much for the kit. If it came with injectors and a chip it might be worth the 3k + price. The only option is find a used one and 94/95 setups are getting harder to come by.

Bluesaph, I do agree that the offset design is pretty ugly, but the reason it isn't centered is because of our distributor being front and center (not a problem in the modular market they cater to more these days). The kit on corral that was mentioned above can sit centered because it sits high enough to clear the dizzy, but then makes you run a monstrous hood or notch one out mad max style.

IMO on pushrods, centrifugals or turbos are the way to go.

I did see the one with the custom built IC setup, actually looks sort of cool and eliminates the biggest downfall of the pushrod kb's not being intercooled.

If KB would get off their asses and actually design an offset blower for our cars with an intercooler option I'm sure they'd be a huge contender with the turbo and centrif. blower markets!

I just put a KB on my 95 within the last few weeks. My plans are to do the air to air intercooler like Vibrant posted up. I talked to the guy that did that one and he told me when i get in the middle of if and need any help to just get ahold of him. I have a MM & Fast fords mag that has a stock fox that a guy did a KB with pretty much that same air to air setup and i think he was putting 10psi to it and he pulled 412HP and i think 400tq out of a stock bottum end and heads. I think thats pretty good #s!

I had a friend who worked for Stanley Steamer. They had what looked like an enormous supercharger in the back of the van to run the shampoo vacuum. He was trying to figure out how to get this thing on his Mustang.
