Hey everyone im thinking about buying the NGK Iradium IX spark plugs for my 08 GT. Would it be okay to use iradium spark plugs? Ive heard people say your not supposed to use iradium plugs in a vehicle that comes with standard plugs because it can damage the coils? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think they make Iridium plug in our spark plug design (if you have the POS two piece plugs)...

You only have a few choices and none are iridium.

Brisk
Autolite
Motorcraft

If they did make Iridium plugs, you should have no issues. Iridium plugs take less voltage/amperage to fire compared to traditional plugs.

Can add the Champion 7989 to that list. It is the proper heat range for non boosted and non NOS and a one piece design. I'm not a fan of Champions, but these have been in my car for 45,000 miles with no problems.

The Motorcraft and Autolites are two piece.

The Brisk is one Piece, but I believe the heat range is for boosted and NOS.
