347 Stroker Parts List?

i am wanting to put a 347 Stroker kit in my '89 5.0 GT but i need help in gathering the list of parts. i know i need the kit, 28 oz harmonic balancer and flywheel, but that's about all i know that i need to do this build. any suggestions?

Thanks

The sky is the limit; what are your goals and desired Hp levels? Heads, cam, intake, throttle body, mass air flow sensor, injectors, fuel pump, headers, and exhaust system all come to mind, depending on the goal. Maybe a windage tray?

i have no desired final HP really, but i plan on putting GT 40 heads and intake on it, plus a cam but i'm not very educated on cams yet. i have a 70mm throttle body installed, and have a larger MAF ready for install. have full flowaster with equal-length shorty headers. don't have plans for fuel system yet. how much HP could i get out of all this (approximate)?

Hp can vary from 300 to 450, roughly, depending on the exact combination of parts. Ideally, all the parts from mass air flow sensor through the exhaust pipes should be sized to work together, and the fuel system will need to be upgraded unless you are at the very bottom of that scale. The GT 40X heads are decent heads, but the older GT 40 heads are on the smaller side for a 347. No matter what, the torque from a 347 will be fun on the street.

This question is vague....

You can spend big coin on the reciprocating assembly -OR- reuse some part and cut costs...This area is where the most money will be spent.

Will it be street only ?

Do you want to build a simple 347 and just stop there... or will you continue to add products to the engine...and do you plan to have the EEC tuned -OR- cut costs and drive it AS IS...

This information will help you obtain specifics... and possibly links to good sources for what you're looking for.

In the least, for a 347

#1 - Upgrade fuel pump (while you're in here, I would go with a 255GPH)
#2 - 30# fuel injectors
#3 - A new/used MAF which is calibrated for 30# injectors.
#4 - On most 347 combos, the engine block will require clearancing for the new crank stroker.
On a rebuild like this, there will be machining costs if you want the engine to last a reasonable
period of time. A few hundred bucks need to be accounted for in your budget
