picked up the new car yesterday. So far the computer says the gas mileage is averaging 27mpg. That's country driving plus traffic around the Maine Mall a couple of times. So almost 10 more than the Toyota.
They did have the STI in the show room and that would be real sweet but the mileage would be no better than my V8 and I wouldn't want high payments like that. Plus having to buy 91 octane would suck with that kind of MPG.

no Fred It wont be running this year. That was the plan but as things moved along I realized that the best case is that I could get it running in Mid Sept, and that's after putting in an additional $900 in parts that I still need. The track closes the last week of Oct so I'm looking at 6 weeks of racing and maybe 4 trips to the track. Not worth the $900 + registration, Insurance and Inspection cost for such a small amount of time. I decided to build a nice computer system instead and just buy the parts I need for the Mustang over the winter and have everything all set by the spring time.

My Accufab Long tubes are done but I wont be getting them until sept b/c I paid down on a lot of other bills so I wont have the extra half for the headers until later on

you drive like a girl and sound like one too.
I've been down that road a couple of times in a Forest Service vehicle a few times. You have to get on the brakes near the bottom when you come close to some houses. That was about 16-17 years ago but still a fun road.

you won't lose any clearance with the subframe connectors. They might stick down an inch at most lower than the existing subframes. On the sides there should be no problems at all.
If I remember correctly you said you can't get those quad shocks off due to the rust. Cut the damn bolts or mounts off.

Ok, ty Bryan. I am sure my exhaust hangs lower then that. I tried flipping the quad shocks, had a shop remove them with their fancy air wrenches, but the body of the stock quads will rub on the body of a stock shock. The nitto 315's just barely fit but the MT's rub on drivers side. So I'm hoping with a stronger control arm I can just ditch them, but on the other hand they are almost new and if they fit when flipped with an aftermarket shock, then i'll put them back on.
