how fast do you think this will run in the 1/4?

^ jealous much ?

why would the tire's be too small ? what would taller tire's do for the car it fells like it needs more power in the 6o not less?
they hook like H3LL , car pulls sick fast all the way to 3rd.

who is jealous of your "13.4 second??" car. really? 13.4??

14's is not "sick fast". no matter what gear it is. i highly doubt it hooks at all.

does any one want to give up info on how to make a 03 gt faster or does everyone just want to hi-jack and talk about B/S?

its going to take H/C/I to get into the mid to high 12's

the shortblock can only handle ~425rwhp with a blower. more with a turbo.

This is going to be good. A callout on stangnet.

Go-Pros with in the instuctions on how to mount them backwards will be sent to Wills house. :nice:

*Waits at mailbox for package from Mark*

My car might need a parachute now. I'm not quite ready to race, but will be by October.

If you want to race Will, you better be on your A-game. I've watched his videos and he is most likely going to tree the crap out of you. You better be running 120+ to run him down.

Yup, unless you can launch it really good AND cut a good light, you'd better be trapping 5+ mph faster than I am, and I'm trapping 110 right now.

Here's what happened to a 600 rwhp Kenne Bell Cobra that wanted some. Supercharged 1998 Mustang vs. 2003 Kenne Bell Cobra - YouTube And I was only running low 13s and trapping 105 then. Within another month or so from now, I'm hopefully gonna be trapping 118+ and running mid-high 11s.

To the OP, your friend's car with a good driver, the right track, and the right weather will go lower 13s, probably around your 13.4. But, if he hasn't been able to get out of the 14s, I doubt he's going to do that anytime soon.

Agreed other than the HCI part. I personally know several people that are in the mid 12s with bolt-ons and cams, and I know a couple of people in the mid-high 12s with full bolt-ons, a little weigh reduction, and suspension work (plus the driver mod).

What a tool bag. I would be 0% scared of that slowbra with me on motor and you on motor. Same goes with me on spray and you on spray.

My 2v went 7.44 in the 1/8th on a 100 shot.....What did your all mighty 4v run on a 100 shot? I'm willing to bet that you are still in the 8's.

My slobra ran a 11.1 with no nos and with a eaton...

I have a buddy that went 12.8 with full bolt on's, a little weigh reduction, and suspension work w/ driver mod. Still had the completely stock long block including cams.

Yea, here's a vid I show of a guy a few months back with an 01 Bullitt. CAI, (stock) UDPs, h-pipe, catback, gears, some weight reduction, suspension, and the driver mod. Still on the stock tune and headers. Has gone 12.5 @ 108.

That car is getting down. I really want to get mine to a 1/4 mile track. I have a couple more parts sitting in my game room of my house waiting to go on. I'm hoping maybe this fall/winter I can go to Tulsa or Memphis and run in one of their 1/4 mile tracks.

Your friend sounds like he cant drive to save his life, i ran 13.60, with alot less mods, and 245 street tires, so by the sound of it the only thing that would make your 03 gt any faster is someone who knows how to drive it.

And i've seen plenty of all motor 2v's smoke 4v's all day long

car is his daily driver and it does cut a 1.8 or 1.9 in the 60 foot but seams to die off or bog for no reason > then around 5500 it screams to life and revs past 7g
there will be NO weight reduction he won't do anything to his car that would lower it's value.
my car did run a 13.4 stock with a full exhaust and a cold air intake . I never got to run the spray at Iland Raceway because I'm too cheap to buy a fire jacket and there a requirement fore anything not N/A at the track > now I have a jacket but no motor go figure , turbo setup is next after the long block get's done>
ANYWAY back to the 2V he drive's fine and runs right with me till the 60 then just slows ?? he says he holds it at WOT till he shifts then back to WOT

If the only mod's he has are the ones you posted, his car does not "Come to life" at 5500 and pull past 7k. It's done pulling at around 5500rpm.

Unless your friends car has 690,000 miles and is low on compression, then it's quite simple; Your friend is not a good driver.

There really is no mystery to it. You say the car pulls hard, and has a decent amount of mod's. Tell your friend to learn how to drive and he will run some decent times.

That made my head hurt.

OP, did you atleast graduate high school? Are you aware of proper punctuation in sentences? Do you know what a noun and verb are? There is a little dot called a period, it's right next to the comma, you should try and use it some time. :nice:

Those mods actually won't get a whole heap better than the stock components. The only thing I see getting a big difference is the gears. He may need another tune if he's getting sluggish threw the rpm range, or he may need to have some one drive for him and take a video of the where they are shifting. But seems to me he should be at least high 13's. Get someone who you know is a good driver and let them do a few passes and see. That's the best way to know if your friend is getting the most out of it. If not he should take notes. Check his compression make sure it's good. what about the spark plugs are they good or old? Maybe the wires too. Make sure the car is truly track ready. good luck

Of the 3 tracks in your vicinity (I know they're all +/- 100 miles away), island is the slowest (it runs slightly uphill and holds the highest level of humidity). Try LVR or Englishtown. I ran better times at both those tracks than island.
