We are currently getting to the productions stage of our Flush Mount Glass Kits for the 64-70 Mustang Fastbacks/Coupes, and they should be out for the early spring. At this point, I have the options of installing a rear glass defrost if it seems like a demanded option.. I know that some like it, but how many of you actually would use or purchase a glass kit with this option?

We will already have the Internal Antenna hidden in the tint band on the windshields, and were are working on the Flush Mount Quarter Glass Supplimental kit for the Fastbacks as an option also, but what about Defrost..? I didnt do it on my other lines, because I didnt want to supply the wiring kit, or the liability if someone wires it incorrectly... I offered the General Motors guys an option and I would like to get feedback on this same option for Ford..

These glass kits are direct replacement Winshields and Rear Glasses, they are not just a weatherstrip kit. The glasses are actually larger and re-shaped to fit the body correctly, and install in a matter of a few hours with NO BODY MODS. You can return to your stock glass and trim at any time, in the same few hours. It can be installed in a car that is already painted, or in any stage of restoration.

Here is an install video of our product in the First Gen Camaro, the Mustang will work in the same fashion, but the weatherstrip will be added to the windshield already.. This car was a completed car that we removed the factory trim and glass from and installed our products in.. The procedure is very simple, but we do suggest a reputable installer does it because they have proper tooling. The third link is one of our sponsor cars that is running our product, and shows the completed look. The weatherstrip on the rear glass is optional, the rear glass has a nice round finish edge, so you can actually float and center the glass for the late model clean look.

window kits 1965 fastback

I am looking to do the kit for my wife's 1965 Fastback. The car was photographed to be in modified mustangs and ford magazine. I got caught in the rain and it was not fun water everywhere. Need help soon.

Any update on the kit?

Sorry for the delay guys, they are set up for production at this point. There was a body feature that the Early Mustangs have, and I was trying to work around it the best way possible, and I was trying to make them a true no mod kit.. It appears that Ford is going to be the only car that will not allow that to happen.

There are no mods for the rear glass at all, and the front windshield mod is minimal.. The upper body has a relief made into it that is sqaured, while the glass is round.. I have tried to have a weatherstrip made that would fill in the relief, but they just dont look right at all.. It appears the cleanest look is to remove the relief during body and paint, and have the rounded corner top edges.. It really looks great in that way, and will allow the full kit to be used..

Here are a few pictures of what I am talking about.. Now, you dont have to weld anything in, just some filler and finish work, so the body can always go back. I am torn about this, and feel I may just offer also offer just a back glass kit, for the guys that dont want to mod the front... The rear glasses look Awsome, and the front winshields look Awsome with the rounded corners...

Here are a couple of pics of what I am talking about.. Please keep in mind these are some template pics, and do not have the refined edges or fitment dialed in.. You can see the relief I am talking about, and it looks larger than it actually is in the pics, due to photo enlargment.. The actual fit of the glass will be like the top edge pictured..

I have also included some pics of the rear glass templated, and it is pretty well dialed in.. The rear glass is made to run with or without weaterstrip. It has a nice machined rounded edge, so all you have to do is float it in the center of the window opening, in it outer most position.. Alot of the later model cars have gone to this type of fit, and it lookes extremely clean with no sealing issues at all.. Infact, it is about the best corrosion protection situation you could have, due to the lack of moisture and dirt being held under the factory weatherstrip.

These glass templates are done, and at the factory.. I will have plenty of photo's of the install and look, I just wanted to give a heads up on the Windshield issue, so there isnt any mis-representation.. Just like my other glass kits, we do have promotional pricing for early purchase for the first stock order, so feel free to enquire about that.. I do that with all my products, and offer a considerable savings to the guys that want them first, as long as they offer pictures and feedback.

Not doing coupes at this time, I am not sure the demand will be there.. If the interest is there after the Fastbacks, I will move on to the coupes.. Right now, we have the 65 and 66, along with the 67 and 68 models at the factory being set up for production.. The 67/68 fits the same as the pictured 65...

Guys.. All I can say is this... If you have a coupe and you want the rear glass to be available, send me and email at [email protected] I really only had a major out-reach for the Fastback kits due to the kit cost..

The first order list for the Fastbacks has started now.. I am doing a early stock order at 500 dollar discounted price this week, so if anyone is interested, send me an email also...

Thanks

More coupes out their than fastbacks - I know I'd be interested, especially if I can do it all the way around.

I think I`ll wait until he has real product to sell...

Anybody that can afford to $1500 on a possibly risky adventure can wait and pay $2000 for something you can actually get your hands on.

Having been scammed online before, I`m gonna wait and see what happens here before I pay anything.

Totally understand that view, and believe me I know about some of that.. We are in Catalogs (Classic Industries) and have many build shops as retailers. I have done just this same thing with previous models, and everything went fine. We do have a non fit guaruntee, which we have not had to use.. I am always available for questions Via email or Phone, so feel free.

The reason for this type of offer is for a few reasons.. One of the requirements if Feedback and Pictures.. Unlike a previous model, I dont want to build a marketing car, so I would like to use yours if possible. Another reason is this, my first stock orders are smaller so i can guage what I need to keep in the warehouse.. Judging by the waiting list, I will not have everyone covered with the warehouse stock, so there would be another wait for a re-stock. We all know, that most people on waiting list do not commit to the final purchase, so there is no way for me to guage what is actually needed. So, this is where the incentive kicks in, you get a discount and you know product is available to you in the first order.. Alot of people like to be the first guys on the block or state with new product, and that is normally what happens in this instance..
