Brake issues!

I have a 94 Gt that has upgraded brakes off a 99-04 model. When i got the car the front brakes were a little hung up but i thought no big deal the slide pins need cleaned up and regreased. Well yesterday i took it all apart and greased them and took it for a ride and sure enough it didnt fix my problem. Clearly the pistons arent going all the way back in as i found when i took it all apart. Anyone have any ideas? I cant imagine both calipers being bad at the same time? Thanks for any reply

In order to properly install those brakes, the knuckle has to be grinded down for the bracket will fit properly. i just wanna make sure that was done on both sides. I'm assuming it was.

I bought the car with the brakes already installed. When i took them apart to grease the slide pins everything seemed correct and there didnt seem to me any issues.

They won't install correctly without shorter slide bolts or grinded down like mentioned above. Just because they are newer calipers doesn't mean the piston will never rust and hang up in the housing. They are still 10+ years old. I'm guessing they are the aluminum PBR calipers. You could always remove them and install a rebuild kit (new pistons, rubber o-rings and slide pins). Either that or buy new remanufactured units or Cobra calipers (both with lifetime warranty). I wouldn't trust having sticky front brakes when 65% of the braking is done up front. Also with a piston that does not retract will cause the pad to hang on the rotor which means excessive pad and rotor wear.

I realize the calipers could be bad im just trying to find any other cause efore i spend the money
