I recently purchased a set of 2007 gt500 wheels and attempted to install them on my 04 Mach 1. When I installed them the front ones wouldn't rotate because the rim was against the shock. The car wouldn't move because the rims acted like an e-brake. I didn't drive the car so there is no damage to the rims, just a small section where it rubbed on the inside lip. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so is there a solution? the front tire size is 255/45/18. I was thinking some really thin spacers might solve the problem.

Why would you put S197 wheels on your car? Those wheels weren't designed for our cars. The backspacing/offset/etc are all different.

That sucks man. They make S197 wheels that have the proper backspacing to fit the 94-04 cars. American Muscle sells them. I suggest you either sell these wheels and get another set designed for your car, or buy some wheel spacers to make them work.

Oh I thought five lug would fit. right now I have a set of stock 18' 2011 GT wheels on the Mach. They work fine as far as I know. I tried some 1/8th inch spacers and they didn't seem to give enough clearence let alone enough. Also made the amount of threads iffy. Ill post picture soon
