honeslty it sounds like the guy started a project that was wayyy beyond his knowledge level and just sold it. there should be a tag on the rear end, just a thin slip of metal attached to one of the bolts. if you can read that post what it says on here( that is assuming its still there).

as for that trans, im not sure. take some pictures and post them, it might help

Does it actually have a 5.4 in there? That whole process is an utter waste of money. GTs are cheap as hell these days.

Well at least he benefited from someone elses time and money for putting the 5.4 in it. Sounds like the previous owner got in way too over his head and just unloaded it off on somebody. Sucks but you need to figure out what your goals are for car and then move on from there. Is it going to be a DD, weekend cruiser, or track car?

Agreed with above. Not really sure what you typed in. You may benefit from using Microsoft word next time.

Pictures and numbers stamped will help us determine what's going on. Take some of the motor and engine bay. The swap may not be finished causing your problems.

Here's a couple free periods. Throw them into your posts occasionally.

why do you guys keep bitching about his grammar? obviously everyone but you could read it. so he forgot some periods. so what?

If you want help from people and expect to be taken seriously then use the english language at least half-assed. Not putting periods into a post just shows laziness. You will not be taken seriously unless you have a complete thought in any aspects of life. With the spoken word there is an understood ending to a thought, with the internet there isn't. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Grammar/spelling is a pet-peeve of mine, it drives me crazy. It especially irritates me when that person then defends sounding like a complete idiot....like the OP did.

:OT:Dude, you must have not been able deal with a lot of people from other countries, no need to abrasive, we got what he is trying to say/type, anyway. We all make mistakes.

O.p., most car parts have serial numbers, especially the rear-end ( rear differential.) Get those serial numbers and you will have your answer.

5.4 litre engine would probaly rip through a v-6 rear diff based on shear torque alone. Same w/the cars transmission.

What happened to any kind of stangnet welcome? He's a fellow enthusiast so why not make friends instead of meaningless bashing, defensiveness, and name calling.

To the original poster, post up some pics of ur stang with the 5.4 swap. Start with the basic maintenance/tune up to get rid of the hesitation.
