TCP Subframe Connectors & Magnaflow Exhaust

  • Sponsors (?)

I haven't, but I have a TCP center brace that don't fit, because my exhaust doesn't run along the driveshaft tunnel. I.E if the Magnaflow system does that, has offset muffler inlet and center outlet, it should fit.
My current exhaust mufflers has both center inlet and outlet, and that is enough for the TCP brace not to fit.
Myself I was thinking about getting a complete Flowmaster exhaust kit for my car. By the look of it, it will fit.

I see you have R&P on the front--looks like the TCP piece there as well. I want R&P, but have ceramic coated headers I really don't want to give up/cut. What kind of headers/engine combo are you running? Based on the other pics it would be a 289 4V but not sure about your headers. No shortage of money spent under your car--wow, I am jealous!

I just did it all from scratch - TCP subframes, TCP center connector, magnaflow 2.5 with X-pipe system and all this with an new AOD tranny. It was very tight, especially around the front U-joint and directly around the AOD crossmember. I anticipated this clearance issue and ordered the AOD x-member from JBA which is awesome in terms of clearance for exhaust. Which by the way was a terrible company to work with (I could post a whole other thread on how they fell on their face with me on this one), every update was 2 weeks but it took them over 3 months, pitiful customer service, I even tried to reach the owner (Jay) but of course he chose not to respond either. Their products are nice but I only mention it so that if you need something thats not in stock, don't waste your time with them. Anyway, the exhaust was tricky as I chose FPA longtubes and the exhaust shop had a challenging time getting it to clear everything but they made it work.

The bottom line is that the lowest point under my car (67 FB) is the AOD deep pan and everything else tucks up tight but nice, hell I even have my stock handbrake working decent under there. It can be done.

I had to get custom exhaust put in to get around the center section of my subframes. I have long tubes and a C6 so there was no chance of fitting any sort of H or X pipe but they did run 2.5 inch to the mufflers.

im running ceramic coated tri -y headers... no issues with the headers clearing anything since i have the power rack i dont have to worry about the stock power steering interfering. the engine is a 289 4 v i just got done redoing it.. edelbrock performer RPM heads, intake, cam, 750 CFM carb with electric choke, new lifters pushrods and in 2 weeks im putting in roller rockers.
I have a power steer pump out of a 93 5.0 a march performance billet pulley underdrive and cool flex hoses
