Hi all
I would like to replace the built in Shaker-500 in 2005 v6 Mustang,
I searched the internet and I found some pricy Avic pioneer systems,
Could you guys recommend a sound system that will fit my budget (400-500$)?
Since I have TomTom, Navigation system is not necessary
It will be nice to have 6-7” screen, with strong sound output capabilities.
Thank you for your help.

ah. my bad. i have this one in mine
Pioneer - 50W x 4 MOSFET Apple® iPod®-/Satellite Radio-/HD Radio-Ready DVD Deck - AVH-P3300BT dash dvd&cp=3&lp=8
i bought it from them and went to the install techs and bought the harness and bracket. I LOVE IT!!! the safety wire needs a + piggyback though so i just connected it to my primary power on the unit. it was an easy install and ill post pics of it if you need. the hardest thing about it was getting the dash apart in order... only thing i hate about my car XD

Check out crutchfield.com. They lots of good stuff, I got most of my system from there. Also check out championmustang.com - they carry the shelby audio upgrade package and components. I got my 8" door subs from there.

Just got the 3300bt in a few days ago. Awesome stereo - however... you reallly need the iPhone to take full advantage of it. Pains me to say it as I love the Android phones. Tried out my wife's iPhone though and the app mode is great. I'll prob pick one up when the new iPhone comes out and get the nav app for it.

Chaves, im 99% sure im goong with that one. Does the in console aux input still work? How is the sound difference with the stock shaker 500 speakers?

whenever i bought my car it was the base model and didnt have the shaker 500 in it. i got the speakers, door subs and amps but my wiring harness wouldnt work with it so i had to rig mine some but now, with that pioneer, im getting better and more sound than i was before because of the built in amp. yes the aux port on the front works but let me ask you this. do you have that aux hook up in your center consol compartment? the reason i ask is because on the back theres an aux hook up. i think its for the ipod. anyway when you install, if that hookup doesnt work with this new head unit, you could buy a red white hookup, trim the earphone plug off it, splice that end into the center consol aux's wires then conect the red white (cant think of the stupid name right now) to the rear of the unit. the reason i bring this up is because i have a manual and having something sticking out of the dash when i drive is annoying and gets in the way. plus im all about a clean look.
it wont come with a remote so scrolling can be annoying sometimes, and it does come with a blue tooth and mike, i put mine ontop of my steering wheel collum and superglued it because that stock adhesive strip sucks. it took me about an hour to install by myself and that was it. it works great and i love mine. heres that pic i promised

Thank you for your comment Chavez,
Just wondering, is there any way to buy bigger unit /bigger screen and eliminate the spacer (see attached picture) so the system will integrate smoothly with the console and give it a cleaner look without the need for additional spacer?

I was looking at this unit as well, I dont believe in apple (long story really) so all those pluses dindt sway me. BUT
BUT BUT
I did hear rumors pioneer may support android soon too.
