I found someone selling a Saleen blower. This is what the ad reads. Used saleen supercharger kit for 99-04 PI 4.6 2 valve. This is a complete kit everything included, Supercharger, Intake manifold, Injectors, fuel rail, intercooler pump and reservoir, mass air flow, two pullies....

Is this all I need to bolt up and go????? Is the install straight forward? 900$$ seems like a good deal right?

Buying a used SC can be a complete nightmare. Not always, but be ready to be missing a ton of parts.

I just sold my kit and went through all 60+pages of the book to make sure I included every nut and bolt. The kit I just bought was a "complete kit" and has over half of the parts missing.

It doesn't always happen, but be ready to buy a bunch of parts.

I knew this was gonna happen if I bought a used S/C.... Thats exactly why i got a brand new Kenne bell kit.

Be carefull buying used. As others have stated it can be a complete nut roll. I went through it with my KB kit. I got completely screwed over and ended up needing a new H/E, new intake manifold and had to have the blower rebuilt. When it was all said and done I paid the same price as I would have new. If anyone ever runs accross an Aaron Acosta in texas stay away from anything he is selling.

Wish I could have had the wisdom that you did. My better half told me not to do what I did.

I sold an entire SI kit which was basically new, for an older YSI kit. The nightmare is only beginning. Oh yeah, the YSI blower would have fit directly on the SI bracket with zero, nada, no changes to the kit. And I could have upgraded just the blower through vortechs upgrade plan for cheap.

I'm just restating that you better know what you are getting yourself in to with used FI kits, and do not take that lightly. You can find a complete kit down to almost every nut and bolt like I sold mine, but more often than not, you will be chasing parts, paying money, and it will be cause more downtime and issues.

My advice. Buy new, inventory and keep the install directions and parts. If you go to sell it, don't skimp on the buyer, include everything that you got.

There's alot of components in a saleen kit. Some parts you didn't list are alternator bracket, throttle and cruise cables, air intake tube, air filter, belt and heat exchanger/intercooler hoses, just off the top of my head. I think you can still buy those from saleen, but if you're missing too many parts it can get expensive for an inefficient blower. Here's a link to the install books,
