cobra upgrades

Hey guys,

I did some searches and came up empty so I decided to ask my questions here in hopes that someone out there is running a 93 cobra or have done similar upgrades.

1. I bolted on my gt40 heads and my original spark plugs dont fit. I take it the spark plugs for the gt40s are different than stock heads?

2. When I measure the opening on my upper intake, its at 70mm but when I research it AS WELL AS talk to summit/cjponyparts/NAPA they tell me I need to go with a 65mm throttle body. I found that the stock 93 cobra came with a 65mm tb even though the opening is 70mm. I pretty much have the same set up now as the 93 cobra so am I fine going sticking with the BBK 65mm tb I have?

Use plugs for a 96 explorer. You will be fine with a 65mm TB.

Plugs are same for explorer, or 93-95 Cobra

65MM TB is fine to use. I have one in my car on a cobra intake. However, if you are buying a TB and the decision is between 65 and 70...get the 70.

Am i holding back power staying with a 65mm or is 5mm not really noticable?

Yeah you can still make a ton of power with a 65 before it runs out of steam. The smaller diameter will hopefully help keep your intake velocity higher as well.
