Bothell
So my engine crapped out a few months back. So I'm in the market for a N/A 347 short block. My last set up was a base DSS 331 short block that was garbage by the way! Anyways it helped me yield 349 RWHP on a mustang dyno and my new goal is 400 RWHP. I've been looking at Ford Strokers .com to build my new 347 short block . Let me know what you guys have in mind for me. current.

Woody has a good reputation. Simple stuff really 347 shortblock, AFR or TFS TW 205cc heads, Systemax II, ported TFS-R, or Victor 5.0 intake, 11:1 compression, a custom cam, a good tune, and a 6500 RPM shift point.

Bothell? Really? Get with Brad's and look into a Bliss engine. Why go mail order when we have a great engine builder here?

My car is actually at Brads right now all torn apart. Dane pointed me in another direction. A shop out in Redmond called AD PERFORMANCE. They just built a motor for a white cobra thats at there shop. I have been looking in to a 363 this go around.

90mustangGT: I was cruising out to a local burger joint with my girl. I was being good since she was in the car. I was in 5th gear 60MPH in the slow lane car started making a weird noise so I looked at the oil pressure guage and watched it drop rapidly, so I turned the car off and coasted to the shoulder. It really sucks considering there is only about 1,000 miles on it in about 4 years.

yeah, usually local makes sense.. sometimes it works out where you use another builder though.

ad performance seems to have some good shortblocks from what i've seen. guy in portland area is using one with a turbo, car runs strong thus far.

btw, rick is building me a 331, not a 347 :D

Spun a bearing? With only 1K miles on it that is absolute BS engine building. Sometimes I think these engine factories that do business in bulk to cut down labor cost just take the parts right out of the box and throw them in. Crank falls off the table, just pick it back up and throw it in there. I've talked to engine builders who say it isn't rare at all that a crank main or rod end is out of round.

90mustangGT: In all honesty I don't know if it is a spun bearing. I am thinking I could sell the shortblock since it is still together along with my nitrous kit I just bought and put that money toward my new build.
