Grooved rotors replace?

Hi everyone. I have a set of 13" drilled and slotted rotors with hawk street pads for a few years now. I ordered a new set of hawk street pads, but I noticed there are symmetrical grooves where the brake pads contact. Is this normal wear? There is still pad left. Should I replace the rotors? (id rather not, rotors are quite pricey).

If the rotors are grooved pretty well you should probably get them cut. Its possible to cut drilled and slotted rotors but you need to find a shop that will take the time to do it. You need to go slower or they will go through bits like crazy.

Probably pretty hard to get those cut. How much of a groove are we talking about? Most rotors warp after they are cut so usually it's better to just shove new.pads on them and deal with a little pad wear. There are also some decent replacement rotors on ebay. Usually I'm not into that sort of thing but I know a lot of people who have boight those ebay rotors and had good luck.
