I picked up a 95 gt and am having some issues with it cutting out at multiple rpm's. The odd thing is if the vehicle sits all night without starting, I go out and drive it in the morning and it runs great. Once it reaches full operating temps though it starts missing horribly. It will also do this if I let it sit for a couple of hours, but if it sits all night runs great? It will also decide to not start at times doing city driving, stopping to get gas, and then trying to start agian.

I replaced the cap, rotor, coil, plugs, wires, and ignition module. Also cleaned the MAF and IAC. Is it the dizzy?

I would check the fuel filter. what type of coil did you get? is everything factory..whats the colant in it look like..I had a similar issue and the fuel filter looked like it had never been changed... I would start there..since you have already replaced most of the firing system..

Yeh, it helped me out a lot. I put some seam faom in the tank to for the injectors.. gonna clean them this weekend.but it wasnt gettign fuel when it needed it and a sign of this is a jumping or lurching whil at speds. mine did it around 40-50.. felt like a miss,, was actually a very dirty fuel filter.. tokl about a hour to straighten itself out.. a cheap fix to..

Well fuel filter didn't help. Car quit on me and wouldn't start at all. Let it sit all night and it fired right up this morning. When it's missing it also backfires a bit and pops. Got to be a timing issue right? Dizzy is the only thing left. Any other opinions before I pull it?

You said you replaced the ignition module. I am assuming you mean the TFI module mounted on the right side fender. There is a magnetic pickup (PIP) inside the dizzy that seems to be a very common problem with the symptoms you talked about. I would do that next.

temp related..TFI, PIP...though also coil (was in my case)

went through something very similar - bad miss, then finally a no start.

turned out to be the @$#$%^ MSD coil - replaced with $26 coil from Oreilly and cranked right up.

Testing PIP - need NOID light - if the injectors are firing, it's not the PIP
Testing TFI - need spark tester.

in my case, I had already replaced TFI (usual culprit) and spark showed, but seemed weak. plugs were very sooty. all solved by replacing coil.

Heres my 2 cents, I picked up a 95 gt thursday for 1200 bucks, engine wouldnt run right and trans loses first gear when hot, windows have issues, other than that car is tight.

As for the engine, here is what I found.

We drove it home 25 miles on highways, ran fine. hour later we started it went 5 miles to a starbucks, i lifted hood, engine idling for ten minutes, got in to leave, stall, wouldnt start.

Waited a few hours, it started, drove it a lot, always moving, stopped and idled and it quit, wouldnt start

Replaced the TFI, nope
Replaced the coil, nope
Got a stator pulled the distributor, disassembled it, replaced the stator, drove it 300 miles idled for hours, 35 bucks fixed the engine on my 1200 junker gt :)

Guy that sold it to me is a mechanic lol

My suggestion to anyone that has issues with a 5.0 that cuts out, then wont start, get a timing light and see if its sparking, if its not, pull the distributor and replace that stator, its cheap and it needs it for piece of mind anyhow, the other part, the TFI module is more expensive and EASILY replaced on the side of the road in a few minutes (unlike the stator).
