I am pretty sure the easy way is the front-most runner on a PI intake is the driver whereas on the NPI it is the passenger.

I think. Someone may have the side by side identification, but my reasoning is the lazy man's reference.

I would like to know as well because my GT is quick for a Mustang thats only suppose to have 215rwhp.
I've beaten a turbocharged 300zx before by about 5 car lengths and was still pulling on him.
I've also done 135mph in 4th not if that really matters but 135mph in 4th in a 215rwhp sounds pretty damn good to me.

As stated, the intake is a PI intake if the front runner heads to the drivers side. As for the heads, your best bet is to find the serial number. The other option is to pull the intake off and take a look at the shape of the intake port, the Pi is slightly different from the npi.

What side is the oil fill tube on? Passenger side definitely PI heads. Driver's side could be either. Can't remember what year it changed...

PI intake only, first runner is opposite NPI.

PI and NPI can both have the aluminum coolant crossover.
