Just wondering if anyone from the beggining is still around here? I'm talking about stangnet vets.. 10 years plus!!! Well if you are, you might remember me, and i was gone, but I am getting back in the game!! ALL IN!!! A little about me, I was with stangnet from the beggining, I remember back in 1999 when everyone had to register all over again. I was a young boy with a fresh 88 GT with welds, saleen wing, and street tires, built 306 with edelbrocks, cobra intakes, all the goodies and bolt ones. the car was a legit player in the streets pulling off 1.8 short times on street tires and 12.7's @ 113. Thats back when the LS1 guys where always talking shi$ , parts never broke, and chicks LOVED a good sounding fox body... Well time has changed, after college Quick set up for about 3 years in the backyard, I graduated college, got a job, met the love of my life, had twin boys, bought a house blah bla blah.. Once life was good, the twitch came back, and i debated a 2011 GT, but nothing feels like a SICK fox body, soooooo i went and got the gt, cleaned her up and here she sits in the garage stripped the drive train and salvaged some good parts, sold my 306 . I have never been specific beleiving in "Run what ya brung, and hope you brought enough" But The basics consist of a Dart Block 363 and 76 MM Turbo, and researching a tranny now! Full UPR suspension front and back, and dumping my big n little welds for something a little more trendy, either some 17 inch saleens on a Mickie T's or Some deep dish black bullets... Either way, Im back, and its gonna be better than ever. I am just proof that once your a mustang junkie!! you cant go back, its a lifelong OBSESSION!!!!

Aweomse, its good to see you guys still on here, familar faces (names) and all!! Yep, Vib Red I remember you especially, i think at one point we had very similar combo's and times. I think you got the jump on me a while back though and did some killer upgrades. I have to admit, (my father was righ) that doing the whole car thing once you have all your other finances in order was the way to go. I remember back in the day living off noodles for a few weeks just for injectors and a MAF. Anyways, This time around, I am takin it slow, and doing everything right, Hopefully by the time my boys are 5 or 6 (about 3 years) everything will be show quality again, I am shooting for 9's @ 145+ which with the planned combo should be pretty easy. Lots of pics to follow and Glad to be back guys!!

Yep, we ran low 13's back in the day and had a close combo, well I was in a 94GT. I then went Vortech then eventually a 347-AFR 185 / Systemax II Intake / Custom Cam route. Glad to see you back. Once you have the bug you always have it. My boys are 12 and 6. We don't go to the track anymore, we stay home and into iRacing (racing simulator), there's no need to spend money at the track anymore, at least for us. Post some pics when you can.

Welcome back, I remember you from 10 years ago. Most of the old timers like OneFastStang and Ranchero50 are gone, but Bottomlesspit pops up every once and a while.

lol.. what is this, the class of "old as hell" reunion? I don't remember you, but I was around back then, too. I look forward to seeing and discussing your combo with you, and I might have some relevant info since I went the dart block, 76mm turbo route, too.

Welcome back! Stangnet is better than ever, too!

They're aren't many of us left. Some did one Mustang and done. Many of us had several or kept the original one. Probably just a handful from the late 90's. Notice many come back for a little while.

Yes, we are the class of the "Old as Hell".

@ Fastdriver - I will definately keep in contact, i did a lot of research on the combo for the last 6-8 months and trying to be reasonable and only spend what I would have paid a month on a car payment since I have other responsibilitites now, But ran into a friend of a friend that abandoned a project (seems to be a common thing these days) and was able to grab up a great deal on the short block. I always wanted a turbo car, went Nitrous for a short(VERY SHORT~!!!!) time, lol. Anyhow, just checkin in, startin the work day, and ready to turn some wrenches this weekend.

@Jr - yes sir, i remember you as well. I am pretty sure you helped me through some of my many questions over the years!!!

@ Vib - I hear ya on that, I honestly woke up this build so i have something to take my boys to StreetNationals in every year, but am hoping it doesnt get out of control. they are only 3 now, Iracing sounds pretty interesting, regardless, glad to hear you guys are still kicking it, I know what you mean about the no need to go to the track thing, and most nights i wonder why it is, I am really doing this, I always just wanted a car that was impressive, looks good and sounds good, but then again, I always wanted a turbo car too. hehe, who knows.... maybe its just 5 liter fever? ok guys, Im out.. gotta get back to work!

There are some old familiar names here, good to see them. I'm an old guy too, out of the game for way too long and just now getting back into it. Other than maintaining my subscriptions to MM&FF, I've been a ghost. Similar story--career, family, financial responsibilities, etc. kept my vert in the shed for way too long--hadn't even drove it in 4 years! Just broke it out last Sunday, taking it to the shop for new shoes on Friday, can't wait to log some serious time in it again! Yes, the mod bug is back again too. What to do first? Brake upgrade makes the most sense, but it's not as fun as MORE POWER. Decisions, decisions.......

Hey 5.0Dt. Cool, I thought for sure I'd find no old familiar names or that nobody would remember mine. Hope to have some pics up by next of me giving the old tires a final smokin'.

Cool, I remember you too, man.

After all these years I'm still technologically challenged and can't seem to attach the video my neighbor shot and e-mailed me of the old hides being smoked off. Will figure this out.....
