I have a rod with a manual three hole rack in it that I was told was a Mustang II rack. The bolt hole spacing on the rack is approximately 17 3/8 and 21 3/8. The steering shaft is approximately 4 1/2 inches with a splined shaft. There are numbers stamped in the rack 35 500 and /3/ or 137 can't tell for sure and CC7 and what appears to be the ford symbol in a cicle. Can anyone help me identify this rack so I can buy a replacement.

The '74 Mustang II used the 3-hole rack. It was superceded by the 2-hole rack in 1975 (not sure of the production date). In any case, the outer holes on the 3-hole should match the spacing on the 2-hole rack.

The aftermarket racks by Flaming River etc. have a non-factory shaft end, so you have to use their U joints or some from Borgeson...in case you are using a factory steering column and rag joint.
