was hoping you would be willing to help me out in return. I have entered a contest to try and win an all expense paid trip to this years SEMS show. The contest is simple I made a post on Facebook and I need as many people as possibly to look at my post and click the "like" option directly under it. The person who gets their post "liked" the most before the 15th of this month wins. The link to my post is below

I could spend a... | Facebook

If you have Facebook and are willing to help me out, fantastic. If you don't have Facebook or time, no problem. If you have already seen my plees for "likes" on some of the forums I apologize for taking up your time with this post. I appreciate any help I can get.

It doesn't say anything about what you plan to do at SEMA. Are you taking your car? What car? You got pics and a writeup? Is it just a popularity contest to see who can refer the most folks to the like button?

good questions!!! It is a trip for two and I would just be going to the show, not actually showing anything myself. You are correct to a certain extent it is just a popularity contest but I am hoping in my case it is more than that. All I have ever wanted to do with my web site and business is help people further there enjoyment of classic cars and classic car restoration. I hope I have built a solid reputation in the mustang community as a source for free information and help. I have never asked for anything in return and I almost feel bad asking now, but this favor is simple and I would really appreciate any votes I can get.

@ Noobz347....I have gotten tons of info from Dazes site, he has a wonderful library of knowledge, especially with mustang modifications. His "How-to" writeups have saved me lots of time and cash, and I'm sure there are many many more on this site that have had that same experience....you got my "Like" Day, and thanks for your site.

I get ya. I am just not familiar with Dave or his site but I get the picture now... Thanks!

Now everyone else who might be thinking the same, will know too. :)

I sent myself a PM so that I remember to do it when i get on the computer at the house. I've no idea what my FB PW is. :rlaugh:

Thanks for the answers Daze! :nice:

day, if i were on facebook i would vote for you as many times as i could. i do hope that you are able to get into sema, and if you get there i hope you have a fabulous time and come back with some more great ideas. perhaps my brother can help, he is on facebook. i will talk to him and see if he is willing to help you out.

I am just not familiar with Dave or his site but I get the picture now... Thanks!

My web site is DazeCars, Ford Galaxie Mustang tech and restoration it is full of all kinds of free mustang and classic ford tech, including but not limited to:

putting a Jaguar IRS in a classic Mustang
how to make roller spring perches
homemade adjustable strut rods
homemade sub frame connectors
UCA drop
suspension 101

and 7 other articles. Its all free and all there for any one wanting to modify ther classic in a DIY fashon

Thank you all so much for your help and support. I am only about 20 likes off of the leader and she is getting more likes all the time. if any of you would be comfortable asking all of your Facebook friends to also go to my post and "like" it, I would really appreciate it. I need all the votes I can get. I have just over 24 hours to get as many votes as I can and hopefully take back the lead. thanks again for all your help.

I emailed my friends who facebook, I don't unfortunatly. this is the only reason I would have for it though.

I can't wait to see an end to your JAG IRS tech article, unless I missed it. I realllly want to do that to my mustang especially for people to wonder how I stop without seeing any brakes! There is nothing that I enjoy more than carving some corners around the Santa Cruz hills near where I live in the Bay Area, California. I can remeber a time not too long ago where I had at least 12 tabs open of just your site and sites pertaining to that rear end haha. so hopefully a few Likes from my friends.:nice:

Update: with 12 hours left I am either in 1st or 2nd.

OK here is the messy story: I was in first until about 3 days ago when Wilwood made a post saying all contest entries needed to be on Wilwood's wall and public, not hidden. At the time I thought it was kind of weird but then didn't think much else of it. A little while later I saw a new post with a bunch of "likes" made by a young woman who was complaining about having to make her post public and provided a link to her hidden post. She had made here post hidden so that she could see how many posts other people had with out having to share what she had, very sneaky. If wilwood honors her original post I am down by about 40 "likes" but if they stick to what they said and only count the "likes" on her public post than I am up by 50 "likes" hopefully in the next 12 hours I will pass here hidden post and win out right, if not than assuming I stay ahead of here new post, it will be up to wilwood weather I win or not.

I WON THE TRIP TO SEMA!!!!!!!
Looks like I am going to SEMA and to the Optima Races after the show is over. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help me out. I could not have won this if it had not been for the support of the classic Ford community. THANK YOU!!!!!
