So last time I posted here I was thinking about buying a new 5.0. Well since then I have had a child, and moved into a bigger place and everything Stang-wise has been on hold until recently.

Still have the 99 and its current state is no motor. Recently i aquired a FREE mark 8 motor out of a wrecked car! So as much as a 2v nazi I am I think im going to cam and header the 4v mark engine and cram it in the car with some other bolt ons. It has been sitting for FAR TOO LONG and the bug is killing me.

Here comes the fun part. Monday I went and picked up my new DD. 2004 DSG Ford Lightning. This thing was MINT and got it off the lot for 15k with only 70k miles. It going to stay as is right now as it is my DD ( it has a CAI and muffler on it). But holy hanna this thing pulls hard. I dont know if it is because I have been whipping the old Accord for so long, but man this thing is NASTY, and the sound of the EATON :jaw:

Fells great to be back inside another V8 powered Ford with some balls. I hope to here how some of the old heads have been doing ( winters, 98cobra, epic. ect.)

Pulley and a programmer for the L.....you know you want to....:)

I can promise, a 4 pound lower/tune/CAI/catback made a HUGE difference in my grandma's Lightning. In cooler weather, if you mat it from a dead stop, it will peel the tires through 1st, 2nd, and bury the tach in 3rd till you let out of it. :D With traction, I suspect it would run mid 12s with ease.

Welcome back... how the hell did you manage those E.T.'s when you had your GT at the track?! I can barely get my pig into the 13's on motor...

+1 for pics of the Lightning.

Thanks everyone, I will post pics later when I get home from work. Slayer I only drive 5 miles to work so it gets the job done as a DD. It's not terrible on gas either probable around 15-20 mpg city depending on how mug my foot is in it.

And on the GT getting a 12.2 and trapping 111. It had 11.1 compression with cams. Slicks and skinnies, 4.10s and one hell of a tune. With the 4v I'm going with 4.56 gears and a set of crower cams
