Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum. Just picked up a new 2012 base model V-6 convertible. Needless to say the stock stereo is horrible. I am replacing the speakers with Infinity Reference series 6x8's. The front doors are no problem. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the rear speakers in the convertible? I can't find a guide anywhere on how to remove the rear interior quarter panels. Do the rear seats need to come out? I see the cut outs for the rear speakes but I know it couldn't be as simple as popping those off. If anyone has done this I would appreciate if you could walk me through it.

Thanks,
Richie

actaully its pretty easy, I have a 12 vert as well. I just unplugged mine cause they suck and put in better from ones. From what I read the rears didnt make a difference when people changed them out.

just pull the rear bottom seat cushins out. everything is just snap in place.
then the door sills and then the top piece by the seatbelt. after that the whole panel will come off enough for you to get to the speaker.

At least that is how I did it..... if you put some nice fronts then some subs in the trunk no need for rears.
