Build Thread "Rising from Ashes" 94 Cobra build thread

Currently working the driver side quarter. Nothing really major to post except today is the two anniversary of when I got this car.

I drove the car for 6 months before tearing into it, so Ive been at this project for a year and a half.

Wow man, you are doing a fantastic job. You are a true inspiration to me and i'm not doing near the work you are lol. I look forward to seeing this car progress. Really neat man good luck!

Thanks man!

Well I finally replaced my Cobra R banner that I lost in the fire.

That poster would look better as a 94 white vert! jk... In all seriousness, it's nice to see you're getting everything back to the way it was pre-fire. And, also that this new car will be a driver, not a trailer queen
Thanks man...I'm not really a car show guy, so that just leaves "driving it like I stole it":D
Got back on the vortech, Got it rebuilt and spent some more hours polishing it. I still have some more polishing work to do before I can call it done.

kurt, what i meant was more "had you put a similar amount of work and time and effort into the car that was consumed by the fire?"

dang kevin, that sure was a labor of love you lost. i hope this one does not suffer the same fate.

wow! I can hardly believe that? such an awesome job on the car How did you manage to do that? how long did it took you to make it? :hail2:
Thanks! I just worked on it day by day and did something to the car every day.

Haven't been on the forums in a very long time but I had some downtime while working up in NYC and this definitely took care of that! Excellent work, kind of sparked the fire and makes me want to get started again with my car. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! I get a lot of motivation from folks that enjoy the thread.

Got my throttle body for the Mustang...75 mm accufab. I've installed some of the cheaper ones and I think this is one of those, "you get what you pay for items.

I've never liked the way any of the discharge pipes fit, so I'm just gonna piece together my own.
IMG_0227.jpg

Needs more of a bend so more splicing is required. I am trying to get it to line up even with the couplers
IMG_0236.jpg

Just need to weld this final section and I guess I will go ahead and polish the tube to match the supercharger and throttle body.

Also got my fuel lines and brake lines powder coated to match the lines I did on the rear end.

So much detail... you my friend, are going to have an amazing looking car when it's done.

Thanks!

I love your attention to detail. You might consider something like these looms for the plug wires ...

I have some and I think they would fit in with your approach to the details ... here is my engine with the looms

Thanks for posting...You know my style. I will probably be ordering a set when I order the Livewires from Summitt.

I finished welding up my discharge pipe
DSCN1800.jpg

Smoothed out the welds and starting smoothing. The fit is perfect.
