MAC MAF Housing Pros/Cons

Been searching all over the net and this sight for any information on MAC's MAF housing. I seen in a couple peoples sig's that they are using them but I can't find any info on if they like them or not. Just purchased a 70mm TB and wanted to go up to a 73mm MAF housing to compliment it. I will be using the factory sensor so.......If you have any experiance or input I would appriciate it.

Just to let you know the car is an 89 GT with stock 19# injectors, cam, head work, Cobra intake, rr's, CIA, full exhaust, and everything but the alt and water pump pulley deleted.

Thanks in advance,
Chad

If your talking about a MAC fender cold air kit I'd pass. The stock air box will make more power. You really don't want a bend in front of the Mass Air Meter, rerouting air, longer air travel to the intake, etc. C&L has a nice aluminum cold air pipe, look into that one with matching 76MM Mass Air Meter. That one will make better HP than the MAC or BBK Fender kit.

Like this one.

I've tried that meter with a fender kit before 73MM. You take the stock electronics and bolt it to that meter. Like I said I bailed on this and the fender kit and bought a Pro-M 77 MAF and only used half of the cold air kit (not the fender part).
