Hey everyone this is my Dad's 67 fastback Mustang. He is the original order and we have decided to do a complete restoration. It is completly stock with matching numbes. I need to start tearing this mustang down but first I need to know how to remove all of this old and hard to replace chrome molding around the windows and windshield.

I have done this before on a few fox body Mustangs and even have the proper tool that splits like a tuning fork with curved edges and that works great on the fox mustangs but not sure if is the right way to go about removing these. Any pointer would be great. Will be taking lots of pics during the process so stayed tuned.

Thanks.

Awesome project to have! I used the blue painters tape on both front and back glass and laid it down up close to the trim. The tool I used is the arrow-head shaped pry bar. You guys also might want to spray off the glass with lots of water to get any bedded in dirt or debris that will jam up the trim clips from popping off properly.

The arrow headed tool is the right one. Just go slow and try not to bend that molding. From what I've heard, the repo stuff is not very good.

For the drip rail molding, I used a old-style can opener with electrial tape wrapped around it to prevent scratches and pried it up and off. Again - slow and careful with it.
