engine removal?

Hey guys,

I am getting ready to remove my engine and i already drained the oil and coolant but i never relieved the fuel pressure.

How neccessary is it to relieve the fuel pressure before removing the engine?

I hope don't need to get all new oil just to start the car and relieve the fuel pressure.

thanks

If you are that worried, remove the cap from the schrader valve behhind the alternator. Then depress the valve core with a nail or small screwdriver. Watch out that the fuel doesn't squirt in your face. If it doesn't squirt, it's because the pressure has already bled down.

relieve it at the shrader valve on the line it is near the pass. side valve cover. you will be fine not alot of pressure, I have done it many times.

edit.. see now you can do it , you the same answer twice :nice:
