Hey all,
I would like to re-use the balancer that came off my 85' 302 crank(OEM). I don't know if it is a 28 oz. or 50 oz. I found the numbers D20E-A1A SDK8 stamped on the balancer. I am going from an automatic to 5 speed tranny and want to save money on this part by reusing it. It still looks good. Also, do you know what flywheel I should be looking for?
I did a google search on the numbers and it didn't give me any answers...

If the motor is original to the car then it is a 50oz imbalance as skunk said. However, the number D20E-A1A SDK8 that you posted indicate that the part was first designed/used in 1972. D=decade 70s and 2=year. A 72 year model balancer would be 28oz imbalance. So either you have a 28oz motor or the wrong balancer was on your motor.
