painting rims

new to this..i have a 2000 black mustang and i want to paint the rims black. how should i go about painting my alloy cobra-clone rims? and would you suggest flat black or a shinier black? thanks

Forget about painting them yourself. Unmount the tires and take them to be powder coated. With all the rocks and stuff that are hitting the wheels while you are driving, ordinary paint will be full of chips in no time. That's the best way for them to stay good looking for years.

I you do paint them yourself, I would suggest gloss paint as it will be more durable.
