My first car was a 93 camry. Ive always loved fast cars but this was all I had so you know what I did?? Got a autozone intake thought my car was way faster now, next some shiny new rims so I could put all that new power to the ground. Then I got it painted all black with a "sweet" racing stripe down the middle. As I was on my way to get a fart can exhaust so I could really smoke fools some girl on a cell phone smashesiin the back and totals my hot rod.Well in a way I guess she saved me because now I have this awesome stang!

On a side note I have a flowmaster catback and love the way it sounds just wish it had a deeper tone. Sbould i go with a o/r h-pipe?

Being a ricer isn't a car, but rather a mindset. It doesn't sound like you were too bad except for believing your cars are 'fast'.

Personally, I wouldn't put an off-road pipe on with flowmaster mufflers. It will be LOUD and the drone would drive me crazy. Even with my stock mufflers and an offroad pipe, anyone could tell it has a performance exhaust note.

Hey man we all started somewhere. I used to own a Civic and had done a few things to it but I was never a ricer but I did think it was fast. Then one day my civic got stolen. 30 days later I was shopping for a camaro but couldn't find one that hadn't been beat to hell so I started looking at mustangs since they seemed more plentiful with lower milage. Low and behold after 2 hours of back and forth with some ass hat sales manager on a friday night I had a mustang. The funny part was that I grew up not liking them at all but that night I fell in love with that car. I actually burned a tank and a half of gas that night driving it around and doing my first REAL donuts. I didn't get home till 2am. The fallowing night I had my first date with my now wife to be.

I need to go drive my car this week after typing that.

Check out youtube for tons of combos. I stuck with a catted H just because of emissions, but I dislike X pipes in general for their sound.

I agree with this statement about X-pipes, but only when NOT catted. I love the sound of a catted-X especially combined with some Magnapacks, Bassani mufflers and Flows as well. Here's a quick snippet of mine if you're interested. I would keep my eye out for either (in stainless) if I was in your shoes and lookin' used, but lean towards catted - H since you do have flows and they are a perfect match.

Welcome to Stangnet! Lets see some pics of your ride, and if you want my .02 go with some long tube headers and an off-road H pipe. it will give you the muscle car growl you’re looking for.

1BadPOny, haha I used to be a ricer too. I had an 86 Jetta that I called the V-Dub Jet, haha!! It had the rear windows tinted. I started looking into ways to modify it but the trans died (from all the HP the engine put out, haha)...and then I got the mother of all imports/ricers, a Civic. Ugh...I even looked into getting an Eclipse, what was I thinking. But I came around and had some Camaros and Firebirds for a while. Now I won't even think about owning anything other than a Mustang (or a Corvette, heh)!!

My first car was a 95 civic, never got around to modding it out, but I was about to purchase an exhaust for it and be on my way to "VTEC YO!" when I got smart and bought a Mustang. We all start somewhere.

I recommend Bassani for exhaust. I have full Bassani, front to back, including shorty headers and it sounds amazing.

I started out with my Firebird (still have), then had a 94 Caprice 9C1 (sold), then a 90 Mustang GT (still have)...

I then got forced into a world of imports or I guess they are domestics here... I got stationed in Japan. Boy do I miss my v8's... I have gone through 3 cars here already. 95 Subaru WRX wagon Turbo 5 speed (sold), 96 Legacy Wagon Twin Turbo 5 speed (selling), and now I have a 98 WRX STI 5 speed... The STI is fun, but I am a solid V8 guy and can't wait to get back to them back home.

I did have my spare intake setup for my firebird sent here so I can fix some threads, polish it, and do some port work... So I am hoping this will keep me happy spending some time with some V8 parts... :) I had the whole setup sent... Upper, Lower, Fuel Rail, injectors, Throttle Body, and a complete gasket set. When I am done with it, it will be on display in my room. haha
