New style seat swap

Here are the last two pics I have so far. This is the passenger seat frame attached to the old seat bracket. Then I reattached the cushion. I have more pics to come of the project complete and the wiring of the drivers seat to get the old style seat motors to work with the new style switches. Let me know what you think.

Ok so I thought I would finish this up with a little bit of wiring that I had to do to get the new style seat switches to work with the old style seat frame and motors. I was actually very easy to be honest. Here is a pic of the switch setup that is on the 99-04 style seat tracks

And here is a pic of the new switch on the 05-09 seats. Here is also a pic of the wiring. Set it up this way so I could test it all first before I connected it all together. The wires and stripe colors match up perfectly from the new switch and the old wiring. The only difference was that the old style has two black wires and the new style has a black wire and a green wire so If you do the swap the black wire with the white stripe gets hooked to the green wire on the new switch.

Will have pics of everything completed in the next couple days.

Thanks. I had to order a new seat switch bezel from ford and it will be here on tuesday so I can finish getting the seat wired up and back in the car. The old one had a broken tab on it and I kind of messed it up with some trial and error ideas to mount the old style switch in the new side bezel before I decided to wire up the old motors to the new switch. Will have more pictures to come next week of the final product in the car and wired up.

I didn't have to do any of this stuff when i put 07 seats in my car, I just used the stock seat track out of mine and drilled 2 extra holes on the 07 seats and installed it. same to the passenger side.

I guess you are using the 05-up seat tracks? You could make a bracket to fit the 05-up track fit on our car but it sits too high. I don't know nothing about new edge seat tracks. I just reused the sn95 track

I am using the 99-04 seat tracks. They are the 6 or 8 way power adjust track for the drivers side and the manual for the passenger side. The passenger side was fairly straight forward. The reason why I welded the studs to the seat tracks is I wanted them to be as closely mounted on the seat tracks as the original seats were. As for the wiring I am doing the original seats have provisions and a bracket for the front to mount the original seat switches on that are pictured above without the bezel. I am simply making the old style seat track motors work with the new style switches that way you don't have two useless switches on the side of the seat. Also got my seat switch plate in today so I will be finishing up the swap tonight. Finished pics coming tonight or tomorrow.

Ok finished the swap. Here are pics of the seats in the car and fully finished.
