tork tech

I wouldn't consider the torktech kit unless you have patience to scavenge parts and are pretty handy with cars. You will also need.

Eaton blower, inlet plenum, pulley, lower gasket, belt, injectors, fuel pump, heat exchanger, 90mm lightning maf, cobra intercooler fuel pump, ic fluid tank, dont forget all the hoses and clamps.... I think it is much easier to spend a little extra money and get a COMPLETE kit.

You can buy a complete kit from TT, but why. For $3200 or less you can put together the whole kit. If you are on a budget, then there is no better way to go. All of the parts that you listed can be picked up off of ebay, on here in the classifieds, or other sites.

The thing I love about it.....the ability to upgrade. Here is a picture of my engine that is going in soon. Not your typical tork tech eaton.

I'm in the process of collecting all the necessary parts to put a cobra blower on myself. I was gonna go Kenne Bell......but $6000 vs $4000 is a big difference. I've acquired everything put the tork tech system itself for $1100. Most parts are brand new.....seems best route for someone not looking for a bottom end build....(maybe in the future).

You sir have stolen my future build! Haha
Can't wait to see what that beast lays down. Whats the supporting mods?

As for the ops concerns. Yes you can source the kit, actually fairly easy, now that tork tech has been around. Plenty of guys have parts to piece it together.

Here is a list....a lot of stuff has changed, but this is a good idea of it. The engine would have gone in already, but we had a couple problems. I didnt get 2 more flywheel blots for the switch from 6 bolt to 8 bolt......and my COPs dont fit. I have had the Weapon X COPs for a while, but they wont go in and out with the Fore fuel rails. I might have some more pictures up tonight.

The only thing I remember not being in the instructions was the IAT sensor stuff. You use a lightning IAT sensor on the manifold, however, there is one on the blower for the Cobra. I know some people have tapped it and used it for their boost gauge. We tapped it and screwed a plug in and 2 studs where the bolt holes for it were.

x2 on the IAT sensor port on the Cobra blower. I tapped it and use it for my boost gauge. I also used a T-fitting and have one of the ports plugged just in case I need another boost referenced port. If you're in an emmisions state and want to run EGR that's not covered. An EGR valve and the manifold-valve tube from a Cobra bolt right up. I got some high temp hose from NAPA since the factory GT silcone hoses are not long enough.

I didn't purchase their CAI, so that wasn't covered in the instructions either. I purchased Airraid 3" tubing from Summit and a Steeda CAI for the Cobra and fabbed one up. Just make sure you have a hose fitting in the duct after the MAF to run the PCV, that way ALL air entering the system is metered.

IC Pump mounting is kind of a DIY thing. Mine is piggybacked on the ABS module behind the radiator.

If you've done more than change the oil in your life than you can do this install. Just lable EVERYTHING as you take it apart, and take your time.

Really, it is not a difficult job. It only requires hand tools, and can truly be done in a day if you know what you are doing on the engine. The instructions that Tork Teck gives is really more of a guide vs an instruction sheet.

I bought a custom heat exchanger that is a double pass and it has both the inlet and outlet on the same side of the unit. That way, Everything goes one way. I mounted my pump on the drivers side under the fender on the frame rail.

Here is a picture I took of it last night with the fuel rails and all the accessories on (minus the tork tech crossbrace). It is together and ready to slap on, but we need to get everything measured for the main belt. The blower belt is something like 54 1/4. There is quite a bit of clearance between the inlet of the blower and the fuel rails...so that wasnt an issue that I had to deal with.

One other thing I am dealing with is the fuel rails. When I ordered them from Lethal Performance, they said they would have a restrictor built in for the FRPS. Well, they dont. Apparently, that is something on the Cobra rails, not the 2v rails. I called Lethal, and was pretty much told.....tough $h**, call BBK, Steeda, or someone else. I am working on that and trying to get it fixed. At 16-20psi, the first 1-2 shift is going to blow the sensor.

Yes, you just reuse your factory rails. You will need the bigger injectors and probably either a BAP or larger fuel pump. I have seen cars over 600rwhp with the stock rails, so they flow just fine. The restrictions that you finally get into is the stock fuel line, but that would be a ways down the road. I now have a return fuel system so the stock rails wouldnt have worked for me.

Oh gotchya.....so far I got the blower with plenum throttle body, rails w/ injectors, 90mm maf, svt fuel pump, act sensor, throttle cable, heat exchanger, fluid pump, and I can't remember what else. As soon as the blower and injectors get here ill know what size they are. I'm assuming they're stock cobea injectors.
