I rarely get to run the car with work and all, but I made it last night to Houston Raceway Park. Well, me and 10,000,000,000 other people. I got there at 7:30 and left at 10:30 and only got 2 runs. All other time was spent in the staging lanes waiting...

Keep in mind, this is a stock motor with a B cam and long tubes. 3.73s in the rear and street tires.

Run 1: Spun, had to peddle first gear and shifted around 5K:

R/T: .251 (alseep)
60' : 2.118
330: 5.905
1/8: 9.046
1/4: 13.998
MPH: 99.7

Run 2: Hooked, shifted around 6K:

R/T : .179 (still sleeping)
60' : 2.083
330: 5.877
1/8: 9.027
1/4: 13.992
MPH: 97.69

I think this shows that with a good launch on some DRs that I could squeeze a 13.50 or better out of it. Gotta make use of every bit of the low end because the E7s choke at the high end of the track. It was everything I could do to stay ahead of the Duramax on the 2nd run bentley429isBAC

that thing would make a killer bracket car with passes that consistent lol
mid 13's easy with tires

Maybe. I used to race Street Stock at a local track about 6 years ago when I was in High School. This was my second time back to the track since. I used to cut .01 lights consistently, and would need many, many more passes to get my lights down to be competitive in a bracket. Still, not a bad night though. 3rd gear synchro is on its way out too...

Just out of curiosity, what was your mph at the 1/8 mile. I've not run 1/4 yet, only 1/8. Our 60fts are close and our 1/8 ET is the same. Just wondering about your speed at that point.

Pretty solid for all thats done! And dont worry about reaction time, doesnt count on test n tune anyway. Sometimes I purposely sit there for 1.5 -2.0 seconds... Needing to catch up makes me drive better!

Drag radials will help some. The MPH tells me you wont see 13.5 with just drag radials.

I ran micky thompson drag rads and I ran [email protected] 1.82 60ft

Well I also realized today as I was pulling the motor out that one of the vacuum ports on the tree by the brake booster was open. Might have cost me a few MPH and tenths

*Edit : Maybe I shouldn't post to the millions silly mistakes like that?

We all do dumb stuff.... I broke my thumb removing a 65mm tb spacer from my stock upper intake...
