To start i have a 96' GT with the 4.6 SOHC. It overheated last april so im rebuilding the motor and i ordered this intake.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/28385/10002/-1

Now getting ahead of myself like always i find that my stock throttle body will not fit this intake without some sort of A.) spacer or B.) and adapter plate?

any suggestions are welcome budget isnt of any concern at this point i dont think i just want to use this intake.

( would prefer to keep stock throttle body as it has all the emissions gadgets etc on it and i am not sure if an after market throttle body comes with fittings for these. )

I don't think that's the elbow you need? Seen several threads on here regarding the VicJr. Intake.
Try searching for them I found one an has a ton of good info an great pics of members setups. Some have the Edelbrock elbow an some have fab'd up elbows? Also your fuelrails will need to replaced with the edlebrock ones or if you use the factory ones a custom bracket will have to made to hold them down? I've looked into this manifold several times an wanted to swap it into my stang? But this is a short runner intake setup? Meaning you will loss down low HP? But will gain high rpm HP as a trade off? If its a n/a setup I'd spend money else where for more HP? Now if your boosting might be great for your setup? There is always some pros an cons with almost every setup. Again like I said check on here an search for the Edelbrock's Victor Jr. 4.6L Intake Manifold thread an has lot of great info.
Hope it helps you out on your build.

90% of the reason for replacing the OE intake ( other than it was cracked ) is to get rid of the plastic intake that has so many issues. the only problem i may run into with a new TB is clearance

Right on. ? Might have hood clearance issues ? The MMR adaptor plate is the key in making it all come together.
That setup would be awesome for a blown motor?
You will foresure loose low end HP. Goin to a 78mm throttlebody an short runner intake? That is if its N/A?
I have considered that same setup once I put my Novi2000 on.
