Professional Products Throttlebody/Plenum....Any good?

I was bored last night and browsing around on different sites and found this:

Do they make quality stuff or would i be better off saving my money for something from accufab or bbk?

PP is hit or miss. It's luck of the draw. Same could be said for BBK for that matter so choose your poison.

For my money (after having had a couple bad experiences) it's Accufab or nothing.

That said though... My experiences are with Fox TBs and not the 4.6 stuff.

Noobz hit it dead on, I had a PP Plenum/Tb combo on my 98 GT I had and it was a pain in the rear to get the throttle cable linkage into the throttle body. The hole was not machined big enough from the company so i had to drill it a little

Completely hit or miss with PP. They had some serious issues with thier typhoon intake when it came out years ago.

I had the TB and Plenum for a while. The TB wanted to stick because they hadnt machined out the areas right. I took it all apart, sanded out the casting imperfections and it was great.

The hit and miss thing is right on with them. I have a friend that had quite a few things...fuel rails, plenum, tb, and typhoon intake. It took a lot of fiddling to get everything perfect, but it worked.

Not sure about the quality of PP, but it looks like a good deal. I just installed the Trick Flow plenum & throttle body and also had to drill out for the cable, so it looks like they all have the same problem. Other than that have not had any other problems. Just check the fit before you install, so you don't have to take it apart again (took 10 minutes to fix). I paid $270 at AM, not a polished finish. If you have the $$ go for the Accufab - I couldn't see paying over $400 for the minimal performance gain. Not a bad idea to change your spark plugs at the same time while you have everything apart for easier access. Good luck!

I believe he has dynos too if you ask. I was planning on getting a combo from him if I don't end up back in Thailand haha.
I will never mod the mustang, probably sell it if i move there for good

Thanks for the help everyone. It will probably be a little while before i decide. I may just go with the accufab if i can scrape up the cash.

I have had a PP 75 mm throttle body and upper intake plenum and never had any trouble. They have been on my car for 2 years now

Little info on pp...i sell a lot of them where i work because they are cheap...and they are cheap beause they are that...cheap... i have litterally opened at leat 20 boxes of pp plenums, tb's, and 94-95 tb elbows that had either square openings, half moon shaped openings or oval openings when they were suppoesed to be a circle.... if i were you, id buy anything elses but pp

I have a PP 75mm throttle body and it's, at least in my case, a very quality piece. I don't have their plenum, but I know a couple people who have and they have zero complaints.

I'd not buy a Typhoon intake, but I'd buy their throttle body and/or plenum again.

Seeing as a TB/plenum is one of my next mods, I've done quite a bit of research on the brands. Personally (and this is just my opinion), its Accufab/C&L or nothing.

However, accufab is nice too, just doesn't have a CARB number
