I have a new 4 core aluminum radiator 24x16 core. In the heat of summer my temp does not stay down like it should when stopped at a light. It rises very fast but immediately drops way down when i start moving so is definitly lack of air flow when stopped. I have proven it by putting a small shop fan in front of the car when ideling and temp comes down a lot. I dont want o go through the whole debate again what i would like to know is if anyone has tried an eletric fan with 4 or 5 core radiator. The thicker cores have more static pressure drop meaning more resistance to air flow. I do know that electric fans do have a cut off point where thy cannot overcome the static pressure if it is too high. It wiill just ride the fan curve beyond a certain point.

So opinions and actual experience would be greatly appreciated. Brand names etc.

lincoln mark VIII fan will cool it. I found a good replacement body in a T-bird and bought a VDO lincoln replacement motor on Amazon. Something like 3400-3600 cfm. It does use a ton of power, but it is only on to get the temp back down. I did have to trim it and slide the motor back a little (ron morris mounts). There is a Taurus fan that will fit better, but not quite the same flow. Any JY will probably have either, may need a replacement motor. Got a 383W large solid roller motor w/ a griffen radiator.
