First off I just wanted to say hey everybody! Like the title says I'm new to the forums and new to Mustangs in general. I've been mostly into the German automotive scene for years and dabbled in the Japanese scene as well but I've never went American. That all changed with the redesign of the Mustang! I'm loving the looks and the power that comes along with it and I'm looking to buy a 2013 Mustang GT this summer.
The point of this tread is to post up a few Mustang n00b questions I've had about how to mod the 5.0. I'm looking to go with an cat-back exhaust and chip straight away, but after that the questions begin. I'm thinking of doing an CAI, BOSS 302 intake manifold, and throttle bodies. Which leads me to my first question:
1. If I do go with the CAI, intake manifold and throttle bodies I notice a lot of the supercharger kits come with their own components to replace the above. Are there any good supercharger kits out there which will allow me to run those parts for a while and still be able to use them when I decide to upgrade to a supercharger? What are the best brands to buy superchargers from? By the way i'm looking at the kits that make ~650hp (like the Ford Racing 624hp kit)
2. I'm looking at the aftermarket throttle body sizes and i'm thinking of going with the 90mm for the N/A mods to begin with. After that can I reuse the 90mm throttle bodies with the supercharger kit or will those be not compatible, or be too small/large?
3. Are there any other supporting mods I will need (such as clutch, drive shaft, etc) to run the N/A power and then step it up to the supercharger kit? This is going to be a spirited daily driver for the most part.
