There is a few of them around here and they think there fast. It seems like when ever they pull up beside me they want to race. Never tried because figure they would beat me. Some have exhaust but dont know about anything else.

Not condoning or condemning street racing ;) but if you're at the track then you shouldn't back down because you think you might lose. What's the point in racing if you know you're gonna win. I was lane to lane with LT1's and LS1's the first few times I went to the track...and I was impressed with my results. So you never know. It's not always the car, it's the driver a lot of times. With that said, you might be able to walk those dudes as it is. Throwing money at your car when you don't know how it will fare against competition isn't always the best policy. I'd say go at it (safely and responsibly) and see where you stand first. And then make adjustments.

That is pretty sweet but still not interested in turbo's. I have always like a n/a car but as I have read these cars dont do good that way. Thats why I have been thinking KB. Easy install, bolt on and go, after P.I. head swap on low boost till I build a engine.

Here's a thread from a local forum I'm on showing the difference between an ON3 turbo kit and a KB. Same car, two different power adders.

If you look at the dyno sheets, you'll notice the difference in the torque curve between the two is significant. I know the guy who owns the car and it's a sweet ride. Regardless, seeing the difference in the two dyno graphs should really help you decide what is more important to you. Rush of thrust towards redline (much faster 1/4 mile times and fun to drive in its own way) or rush of thrust right off idle.

Personally, I think I'd prefer the loads of torque and general flat torque curve of a PD blower. However, I do most of my driving on the street and cruising and haven't even been to a race track yet. I realize this really has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but those watching this thread may find this information useful

Here's an image of his dyno run... both the 14PSI KB dyno run AND the ON3 turbo dyno run are laid on top of oneanother:

Here's a quote from the owner:

Obviously it doesn't have the instant torque of the KB, but its worth the wait. Its way faster on the road than the KB was. Doesn't feel very fast to me still but meh.

I have a full diff out of a 96 explorer, it has 3.73 and a posi. Should just use them or put 4.10?? I am thinking of going KB. So not sure what to do. The car is my weekend fun toy, not going to see the track much. Just to see how mods change it. The car has 2.37 in it now.
