Did you even read the circumstances? Nick straight screwed up with THIS customer.Let me tell ya, it takes a real **** to try and destroy another man's business. I just got a set of blower cams, valve springs, cam gears,6061 plenum. Tfs crank gears, and cam degree service from nick. He helped me out through out my build. He is only one man. A man busting his ass to keep a million mustangs on the road. I say, walk a mile I. His shoes and ur attitude will change drastically. Mhs is the only route I take!
Nick sent emails to other customers that he's no longer doing 4V heads for some reason..........one guy that Nick has had his heads for a couple of months.i did a lot of business with nick, but this last time when i swapped to my turbo cams it took from the middle of october to the middle of january, and that was just to get a set of cams......
Did you even read the circumstances? Nick straight screwed up with THIS customer.
SO WHAT Nick has done in the past. He screwed up here...............and there are others.
PS............if you're gonna ignore facts and defend the guy, at least TRY to be truthful yourself....................."A man busting his ass to keep a million mustangs on the road." That's just plain IGNORANT!
Everyone is beating on this.....why? Nick offered the guy a refund, but not a full refund because he failed to ship the stuff back correctly. It has been WELL documented that it takes time to get stuff from MHS, again, we all know this, so, again, why are we beating on it?
I think both of them screwed up, one took too long and the heads he sent were not up to par.....he should give a refund. The other had someone else ship something for him and it wasnt done correctly, he should lose some of that refund and he can take up the issue with the people who sent it. He is very quick to say he was 400 miles away, but it doesnt matter. It was shipped on his behalf, so it is his responsibility. Now, before it is thrown in that "it was insured", it is ONLY insured when packaged correctly. If not, I would go down, but a $20 vase, put $5k in insurance on it, and throw it in a box and mail it to anyone......BAM $4980 profit.
"I listed the cam bore/cam journal clearances for one head, other head is similar. This clearance problem will reduce oil supply to the shortblock in a large way and flood the cylinder head with oil as well as reduce oil pressure at all bearing positions.
The cam journals were sanded which causes a belly in the middle and high on the ends, the bores were sanded creating out of round and taper. This was done to allow the cams to turn on a badly warped cylinder head. I cannot install these heads at L&M. You may install them or have others do it. I also listed the valve seat leakage which is higher than normal."
Think a little bit. WHY were the head being sent back to him? It was because Nick screwed up the heads!
PLEASE WIPE YOUR MOUTH BEFORE TYPING!People are not going to stop doing business with MHS over this ridiculous "incident". The only side anyone is hearing is the vehicle owners side, not Nicks. There are 2 sides to every story. I'd give him my money tomorrow if I were in the market for his products. This isn't going to sway anybody's opinion. MHS is a top notch company and their work is unsurpassed, this has been proven time and time again.
PLEASE WIPE YOUR MOUTH BEFORE TYPING!
Btw, the refund check in the FULL AMOUNT for the OP left yesterday as the engine builder and I have come to an agreement. He should have it either Friday or Saturday.
Like I said earlier, there are 2 sides to every story.
If I order a new Whirlpool refrigerator and find out the evaporator fan motor doesn't work and have an appliance repair company return the refrigerator to Whirlpool and due to poor packaging by the appliance repair company the door breaks off, why is that Whirlpools fault? Why should Whirlpool be forced to pay for a mistake made by the appliance repair company?
OP has every reason to be upset that the heads that were sent out were not finished properly, but OP has no right to get pissed at Nick for not giving a full refund after sending back heads that were damaged during shipping due to poor packaging. If anything, I'd have gone after the engine builder/machine shop for not packaging them appropriately before going on an internet rampage trying to ruin a mans business. Sounds like there was poor customer service from MHS AND from the engine builder.
I wonder if posts in this thread will be deleted like the UPR threads... or perhaps that only happens when the company conducting bad business is a site sponsor
