Hello, I'm selling my son's 65 Mustang and the starter solenoid went south. I replaced it with a new one and now the car is dead. It has a new battery but the lights won't even work. If anyone can tell from the photo if it's wired correctly? Thank you for your help.

Not quite the way Ford intended it to look, but it looks like the black wrapped wire on the rear should be swapped with the heavy guage wire on the front that runs down to the starter.

i believe the taped set of wires should connect to the battery terminal (opposite side). that harness is what feeds the interior. where is the heavy black wire going and the heavy red wire? i'm guessing you have a newer style starter that has it's own relay.

Oh, I missed that heavy black wire on the back side. That might run down to the starter. I had thought the second heavy red one on the front side was to the starter (now where does that one go?). But now that brings up another point, is that the car's negative ground cable bolted to the shock tower vice the engine block?
