I just got hold of a used Taurus fan that I wish to install for replacement for my mechanical clutch fan. Two things I am looking to improve, 1. less fan drag, 2. better cooling in traffic jams.

Do I need a stronger dynamo?

. Thanks

I assume dynamo=alternator and yes you do need a bigger one, along with a bigger/heavier wire from it to the battery side of the solenoid. You also need to make sure the fan gets its power through a heavy relay fed directly from the battery.

on my 66 there wasn't nearly enough.room to.install that giant Taurus fan unless I cut it down....at that point it looked like.crap so I scrapped the idea

I already showed you how to fit it with just cutting 2 small slots on the rad. support, no need to butcher anything...:dead:
