Ok so I am in the process of wiring up my car and was trying to simplify things as much as possible. I've already re-wired a '66 Mustang so the specifics of wiring I'm not Concerned about.

In order to simplify my wiring I am planning on getting rid of the starter solenoid and using my powermaster's internal solenoid for cranking the engine.

Now that I am doing that I want to know if I can run my Battery + as follows.

As you can see I have an MSD ignition box, Painless Fuse Box, RJM EFI Fuse box that all need Battery +. I want to run the cable from the battery to a terminal post under the dash and then out to the alternator, then from the alternator to the starter for the 12v needed. I think this is doable but just want to make sure everything will be ok as well as what wire sizes (ga.) I will need from the battery->Post->Alternator->Starter

Thanks.

Oh, Also As far as the fusible link needed for the alternator, should I put that between the alternator and the post? the Painless and RJM harnesses have their own fuses so no worries there. I'm guessing the MSD box has an internal fuse? not sure about that.

"where's everyone been on this board? seems like there's been minimal activity here the last few days."

It's beautiful Spring weather in most of the country and most/many of us, who are lucky enough to do so, are out enjoying/driving our Mustangs instead of sitting in front of a confuser talking about them.:)

What size fuse are you installing at the battery location? I pretty much did the same setup, but I ran my wire from the trunk to the starter and installed a 150amp fuse in the trunk. Then from the starter to the alternator. The alternator has a fusable link inline at the starter location. With everything landed on the starter everything still charges and it made on my setup the battery wire some shorter in length.
