My current fox I bought 3 years ago. All my attention has been on performance and I have neglected the fact I dont have a working radio. Heres the scoop. The car came with a sony head unit with an equilizer and amp in the trunk. The radio would work for the first 30 seconds absolutley perfect and then would cut out. I removed the amp and equilizer and sold them to a guy who didnt care if they might be bad or not, got 100 bucks so I didnt care. Anyway when i removed the amp and stuff the radio hasnt worked at all sense. As im getting older, I cant stand the fact that something on my car doesnt work right. So I have to fix it.. I dont even know where to start. What do I need to do to just have the factory speakers working again?

what year? 87-92 have a rectangular style harness plug that was plugged into the stock amp which is located behind the head unit. You get this harness which splices into your radios speaker wires and that will solve that. 93 premium sound had a square plug that ran to the amp under the seat. This one also has an adapter plug to the speaker wires to make it work . Either way both splice to your speaker wire outputs on the radio and are plug and play.
