Power Loss....need Some Advice Before I Start

OK. So before i jump into the issue, some background on the car. 2000 Mustang Gt with a Tork Tech ic Blower. Deleted EGR system. 60 lb injectors. Cobra tank w/duel wel pro 225 pumps. Stock OEM coil packs. TR6 plugs.

Car has thrown no codes.
Car is not knocking.
Car is not smoking.
Vacuum is reading 17 at idle.
Car had about 6 gallons of fuel before issue.
No loss in oil pressure, Temp was steady, New battery, 130 amp Alt.

So i was driving around my town and dropped gear 3 to 2 and did a small pull. At about about 5K the car felt like it hit a wall....I mean total loss of momentum. I got off the gas instantly and neutral coasted it. Car drove fine after. Pulled in to the gas station and top the tank off (which is how i know how much fuel was in the tank). Get back on the freeway and drive normal until my exit. Once I took the exit i did a little over half throttle pull in second and when i shifted to third the car stumbled and engine rpms began to fall ( i shifted to neutral and tried feeding it gas to save it but it died and i coasted). Car started up fine right after. Granny drove it home and it was fine under light acceleration (didnt want to risk pushing it again).

My first thought was loss of fuel pressure...
Dirty MAF
Dirty injectors
Clogged Fuel filter (Pretty sure its never been changed)

Its hot as balls here in Laredo, Tx today also

Ok Stangnet trouble shooters i am about 2 hrs away from my house in San Antonio and need to correct this issue before i attempt to make the trip so Fire away with corrective actions!

I would do the easy things first, Fuel filter and clean MAF. To atleast rule those bad boys out. :nice:

One thing that I thought of when reading was that your pumps are getting hot and vapor locking. Here in Arizona my dad's 95 GT does this especially if the tank is low. I think the heat radiating up from the asphalt onto the tank just heats it up untill the pump is trying too hard. Once he fills it up with fuel it runs fine. But since you filled it up and it still did it, I dont know if that is what could cause it.

Goodluck

Now that you meantion it I remembered I filled up after the last stall and legged it home. Car was sitting out all morning in the nice 92 degree heat.

Fixed. Cleaned the maf sensor, and changed the fuel filter which was extremely clogged...took about a full lung of air to force the remaining :poo: out. After it blew smooth, I kind of figured it might be the issue. Once I changed it had a few 2 & 3 pulls and things were smooth as butter.
