I am a new member to Stangnet, after purchasing a 2012 GT base manual w/Brembo & 3.55s. I have been reading in the background a while, and was curious what people think I should do. I have already replaced the shifter with a MGW unit (Love it!) and swapped on a Boss 302 wheel, but now I'm ready for some power mods.

I am looking to get the Steeda ultimate induction pack (cai & tune) and a Magnaflow street catback. I was curious, is there much gains to be had with a bigger throttle body? And if so, 85 or 90 mm? The other area I was thinking was headers & h- or x-pipe. Not sure would be the bigger bang for the buck.

Steeda makes great products so you can't go wrong with an intake with them. As far as exhaust is concerned, if you're just wanting a better sound go with axle backs, but if you really want to add some power replace the whole dern thing. Get some long tubes, x-pipe, over axles, and axle backs of your choice (that's what I did). The throttle body really isn't going to matter much. After looking at several different magazine's attempts of larger throttle bodies, it seems as though they get minimal results until they throw something else into the mix like a blower or ported heads and cams.

Sending you a PM.

The Steed CAI w/Programmer is really great and is one of the best quality units I have seen. And I have gone through several on my Lightning Pickup, GTO, and previous Mustang. I also have the Borla cat back with and x-pipe and am super happy with them. I can tell you that after I install the CAI w/tune and the Borla cat back it barked the tires going into 3 gear and before you know it you are well above the posted speed limit.
