I have a 1994 mustang cobra with a vortec V-2 si supercharged 331 motor. With a built T-5 trans.I picked the 94 for the 5.0 and T5 which I knew would swap over to 1st gen mustangs. And now I've bouht a 1969 mustang with a super clean and straight body. And want to know what parts I can use.The 69 needs a wiring harness. Can I use the one from my 94.What about my fuel system? Can I use my intank pump? And my rear end?I read you can use an explorer rear end?The car also came with a 9 inch not installed but a 8 inch already in the car.If some one can direct me in the right direction to find some of these answers I would apperciate it.Thanks.

that is a nice set up you will need a trans mount for the t5 to fit your 69
the 69 302 motor mounts will work for the 5.0, you will need an in line fuel pump
and return lines back to the tank .if you are good with wireing you can use the harness from the 94 motor compartment but it would be much easier to go with an after market one
the 9 inch would be the easiest depending on the gear ratio 3.25 -3.50 would be
perfect, you will also need to change the oil pan to the early pan. the super charger
i am not sure about clearance but i would think it would clear

no the wireing harness willnot work for any thing but the engine compartment
and that will have to be traced out, i have done it three times ,its not a lot of fun
and i would recamend an after market one, unless you are good with wireing
now is that a 5.0 in that 94 or a 4.6?

thats the one you want i know it sounded like a dumb question ,but i recently had a guy want me to
put a fuel injected 5.0 in his 67 coupe when he brings me the motor its a 4.6
when i tell him what he has he starts yelling at me,he said the guy on graigs list
told him it was a 5.0. good old craigs list

Hey thanks for the replys. Also just got my project a few days ago.

You should probably contact AAW or Painless for the wiring harness. You can get either a new sending unit for the tank with a return line or Google search, IIRC someone makes a retrofit tank for EFI - both have in-tank pump. You'll need a cable clutch or hydraulic setup for the '69 and, IIRC, a radiator with the outlet on the correct side. I think the '94 bellhousing is longer so you may need to open up the rear portion of the shifter hole for proper fit and may need to shorten the driveshaft.

I'm going to go with the AAW harness I think cause I read a bunch of reviews and saw that for the most part its the same as the painless. But 50 bucks cheaper. Also I'll probably lose the FI and go carb.I plan to use the car mostly for driving I dunno 4 days out of the week. And drag and autocross when I can.I already use the 94 mustang for auto cross and drag racing and really like it.Even though I go through most corners side ways on the X track.I'm okay with that though its fun.

Seems a shame to parts out a 94 Cobra that's not a wreck, but it sounds as though you've already had some fun with it! Being that the 5.0 was only in a few SN95 body style cars for only 1, or was it 2 years, it's a little bit rare. If it were me, I would try to find a wrecked/tortured Cobra to strip and maximize the value of that one you have by $elling it. Of course, if you've been driving it awhile, you know what you've got. You may still be able to get a few $$$ for the bare body shell.
My $.02,
Gene

I tried to sell the cobra a few months back.Plan being to put a down payment on a newer front engine rear wheel or 4 whell drive car.I was trying to get 4 grand for a car that made 424 hp and 470 ftlbs at the rear wheels. No buys here in san diego CA cause the car won't pass smog.

List of mods on the 94 331 stroker gt40x aluminum heads port and polished.Edelbrock intake with 70mm throttlebody.Ford racing supercharger cam.Sct chip home made water to air intercooler system.Vortec V-2 si trim s/c with 2.70 in high traction pulley. richmond built T-5 manual trans with ram clutch aluminum drive shaft and 3.55 rear gears.

All that for 4 grand and no takers. And the list is longer when you get to the tires and leather seats and such.
