OK. So "Crux" has to do with my bike's aluminum frame. Yep, but the fork is composite! It's a 2006 Giant OCR2. I could have spent $2k more for a full composite frame and had a bike that's maybe 5 lbs lighter which is cool and what the objective is. But instead I decided to lose 5 lbs of body weight and save the $2k.
